Book Blogger Hop: Do you rush out to get "viral" book?

For the week of Aug 3-9:

When a book goes “viral” (Hunger Games, Fifty Shades, Twilight), do you rush out to read it like everyone else, even if it’s not in your typical genre?

My answer:
Nope. I'm too cheap to buy a book, usually I just wait my turn at the library.

Do you rush out to read the latest book?

  1. No, just because it is a "sensastion" with some people, I may not enjoy. Like Fifty Shades of Gray. Don't think I'll ever read that!

    1. I agree, I don't and won't read books that I'm sure I wouldn't enjoy or like. Kinda forgot to include that in my answer though...

  3. For me, it just depends. If the viral book sounds good, I'll look for a way to get my hands on it ... eventually.

    Happy Hopping!

    1. Yep! I do borrow book evenutally but if it's something I really want to read I've been known to try several library systems and friends.

  4. No, I don't rush out to buy it immediately. I generally have to wait for the paperback or buy it from a thrift shop if I happen to see a copy.

    1. I've never had much success in finding books at thrift shops, glad you have some good shops near you!

  5. No, I don't rush out to get it. I read The Hunger Games about 6 months ago- but it had already been out for about 2 years. I loved it and wished I read it sooner- but I don't rush out. I still haven't read 50 Shades...
