Top Ten Tuesday is a meme hosted by The Broke and the Bookish
This week's topic is books you pick up when you need something light and fun. There aren't ten books that I turn to to reread bits and pieces of (or the whole thing).
Top Ten Books When You Need Something Light & Fun
1. Love Comes Softly by Jannete Oke
2. The Princess by Lori Wick
3. Philippians – The Bible
4. The Blue Castle by L. M. Montgomery
5. Seven Daughters and Seven Sons by Barbara Cohen
6. Anne of the Island by L.M. Montgomery
7. The Ordinary Princess by M.M. Kaye
And that's all the titles I can think of that I pick up to cheer up / un-stress / unwind

I LOVE LOVE LOVE your choice for # 3. I'd also throw in some Psalms, but only select ones because some of them are pretty depressing. Great list!

Psalms did cross my mind, but you're right, some are depressing and I didn't want to go picking some out. :-)
DeleteThanks for visiting!
Ooh, Love Comes Softly - I didn't even know that was a book first! I remember seeing a movie and really enjoying it! Really good list!
ReplyDeleteThanks! It's a great book and a good series. You should read them!
DeleteGreat list, Rina :) I also recommend anything by Trish Perry or Erynn Mangum. Blessings Rina!
ReplyDeleteThanks Kara! I don't think I'm familiar with those authors, I'll have to go look them up. :-) Thanks for the recommendation!
DeleteAnne of the Island! So swoony. And I've never read the Janette Oke books, but when the movies come on I will plop right down and watch the entire series as a marathon.
ReplyDeleteThat'd be a fun marathon! You should read the books as well, the movies are different of course and I really like the story.
