I read a lot and love books, so I decided to get a degree in library science. I also love helping others find books they'll love. Since I haven’t found a library job yet I started this book review blog to give me a good excuse to read as much as I want and a place to share the great and not so great books I read.
This spring, 2012, I was offered and accepted a job to be a school librarian at a Christian school in Africa. After just two months, I can say that I enjoy it a lot.

People often ask, “What’s your favorite book?” That’s an impossible question because there are so many books that I enjoy. My favorite genres are historical fiction, Christian/inspirational fiction, and retellings of fairytales (not sure if that’s a genre per se…). The book reviews I write are usually for books that fall into one or more of those categories. On occasion I’ll read a biography or nonfiction book about current events that catches my interest.
